In collaboration with the Guler lab, we are working to develop tools to manipulate neural circuitry. Our first proof of concept was "Magneto" which is capable of remotely controlling neuron activity through magnetism. We are currently working to expand our magnetogenetics toolkit to manipulate other facets of cell behavior. I am currently prototyping a magnetic transcription factor and GPCR.
