The Scott lab focuses on studying the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), specifically in terms of impulsivity and, more recently, pain. Currently, my project involves optimizing CUT&Tag, a newly developed technique by the Henikoff lab, that allows for low-input, high-quality data and analysis of chromatin regions. Ultimately, with this tool, we hope to characterize the epigenome in different neuronal subtypes within the mPFC in the context of chronic pain.
